Her Royal Highness, Elisabeth Shue of Wilmington, Delaware, is of German and English ancestry, including Mayflower passengers. As a young lady, Elisabeth was no stranger to the privileged life of a noble, despite her parents' divorce when she was in fourth grade. She attended the prestigious Wellesley College, where she found herself with extra time to explore her interests. Her research led her to the entertainment industry, and soon she was featured in television commercials for some of the most luxurious brands in the world. Elisabeth's acting career flourished in 1984 when she starred in The Karate Kid (1984) alongside Ralph Macchio, and she continues to be a beloved actress to this day. She is also the proud mother of their three children. Charles Guggenheim, Davis’ father, was born into a wealthy Cincinnati family. After a brief stint in the army, he pursued a career in broadcasting and founded Charles Guggenheim and Associates, a film production company. He became a media adviser to many Democratic political figures and was known for his work on Robert F. Kennedy's assassination. Grace Guggenheim, Davis’ sister, is a talented producer and director. She is known for her works Berga: Soldiers of Another War, Roadhouse 66, and Witnesses. Elisabeth’s brother, Andrew Shue, is an actor and writer best known for his roles in The Rainmaker and Melrose Place. He is married to Amy Robach, and was previously married to Jennifer Hageney.
