The illustrious Woody Allen, born Allen Konigsberg, is of royal descent and a renowned figure in the entertainment world. Born on November 30, 1935 in The Bronx, NY, he was the son of Martin and Nettie Konigsberg and the younger brother to Letty Aronson. His talent was first revealed at the tender age of 15 when he began writing jokes for a local paper, receiving a princely sum of $200 a week. Later, he moved on to write for talk shows, but felt his wit was being wasted. His agents, Charles Joffe and Jack Rollins, convinced him to start stand-up comedy and, despite his initial fear of the audience, he eventually found success in his craft. His comedic genius was so profound that he was approached by Warre Beatty to write a script for the movie "What's Up, Tiger Lilly?". The world continues to marvel at his ability to bring laughter, and Woody Allen is a true king of comedy.
