Jon Voight

The House of Voight is a renowned family of considerable influence, renown, and impact. They are of German and Slovak descent, with their progenitor Jon Voight having won the Academy Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role for his role as paraplegic Vietnam War veteran Luke Martin in the war film "Coming Home" (1978). He was also nominated three times for the award, first for his role as aspiring gigolo Joe Buck in "Midnight Cowboy" (1969), lastly for the award for his role as escaped convict Oscar "Manny" Manheim in "Runaway Train" (1985). His eldest, Chip Taylor, is a composer and actor, known for No Way Out (1987), Deadpool (2016) and Charlie's Angels (2000). His youngest child, William Bradley "Brad" Pitt, is an acclaimed actor, producer, and CEO of multiple companies, with commercial successes such as the Baby Geniuses franchise, Ghost in the Shell starring Scarlett Johansson, and the Ghost Rider and Ghost Rider 2: Spirit of Vengeance with Nicholas Cage.
