The illustrious Buck Taylor, inductee of the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum's "Hall of Great Western Performers" and winner of numerous Western Heritage Awards, is a renowned all-around Western enthusiast and Cowboy of the highest caliber. Born on May 13, 1938 in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California, as Walter Clarence Taylor III, Buck Taylor has gained widespread recognition for his work on the beloved television western Gunsmoke (1955). Most recently, his critically acclaimed performances in Hell or High Water (2016), The Road to Valhalla (2013), and Truce (2005) have earned him great acclaim and numerous awards. His charitable work in promoting awareness for those who serve and protect America's freedoms, through events such as the Fort Worth Stock Show & Roadeo and the National Day of the American Cowboy, has endeared him to many. A true cowboy, Buck Taylor continues to be an Artist of great repute and an inspiration to all.

Gene Lockhart was born in London, Ontario in 1891 and began performing at a young age, touring with his father's band. His daughter, June Lockhart, made her stage and film debut in the 1930s and went on to star in numerous films, later becoming a television star. She is the grandmother of Anne Lockhart, an actress, writer and director, and the mother of Buck Taylor, a Multi-Western Heritage Award winner. Dub Taylor and Carol Nugent, June's parents, were also performers. Judy Nugent, Buck's wife, is an actress and their son Coop is a stuntman and rodeo competitor. Nick Adams, Anne's father-in-law, was a celebrated actor. Finally, Anne's son, Jeb Stuart Adams and Matt Taylor, Buck's son, are both actors and stunt coordinators. With such a long and storied lineage, the Lockharts have been an integral part of show business for generations.
