Biography

Timothy Hutton, of the illustrious Hutton line, hails from Malibu, California. As a young man, he burst onto the acting scene in the late 1970s, and his talent was quickly recognized. In the esteemed Robert Redford-directed Ordinary People (1980), Timothy portrayed Conrad – a troubled teenager – with such success that he earned the 1980 Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor, making him the youngest-ever winner of the award. With a storied career of over 70 film, TV, and stage appearances, Timothy has graced the silver screen and stage with his presence for decades. He currently leads the television series Leverage (2008) as insurance investigator Nate Ford and starred in the acclaimed Roman Polanski film The Ghost Writer (2010). He also made his esteemed Broadway debut in 1989 in the production of "Love Letters". Timothy Hutton's remarkable acting career has earned him a place in the annals of history.

Timothy Hutton, Jim's son, is an award-winning actor with over 70 film, TV and stage appearances. Lastly, Noah Hutton is a writer and director of documentary and narrative films, and was nominated for the 2021 Independent Spirit Award for Best First Screenplay.
