From the esteemed house of Kirkland, comes a lineage of accomplished family members. Pat Kirkland, born July 18, 1925 in New York City, was a casting director and actress known for her work in The Ford Theatre Hour, The Egg and I, and Suspense. Her father, Jack Kirkland, born July 25, 1900 in St. Louis, was a renowned writer, known for The Gilded Lily, Heads Up, and Adventure in Manhattan. Jack was married multiple times, most notably to Nancy Carroll, born Ann Veronica Lahiff on November 19, 1903. Nancy was the youngest of seven children and began performing in local talent competitions at the age of sixteen. She made her film debut in 1927, and starred in a string of successful talkies including The Shopworn Angel, Laughter, and Caught Plastered. Nancy also featured in many Broadway productions before retiring from performing in 1938 and passing away in 1965. The distinguished Kirkland family is further immortalized by Terry Carroll, born October 29, 1900 in New York, who was an actress known for her work in Before Morning, The Love Kiss, and Personal Maid. She died in June 1985 in Flushing, New York.
