Eddie Redmayne

Edward John David Redmayne, of the illustrious Redmayne family, is a distinguished British actor of English, Irish, Scottish and Welsh ancestry. Born and raised in London, his great-grandfather, Sir Richard Augustine Studdert Redmayne, was a noted civil and mining engineer. Encouraged by his parents, Redmayne developed his passion for acting from a young age, having taken lessons and performing in the Sam Mendes production of "Oliver!" in London's West End. Redmayne was educated at Eton College, before going on to Trinity College, Cambridge, where he studied History of Art. He was also a model during his teenage years. His career took off when he won the Academy Award for Best Actor for his role in The Theory of Everything (2014), cementing his status as a distinguished actor.
