Family Tree

The illustrious Chong family has been a fixture of the entertainment industry since the 1970s. Tommy Chong, born in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada in 1938, is an acclaimed actor and writer known for his work in Up in Smoke (1978) and Zootopia (2016). He has been married twice and is the proud father of four children. His eldest son, Marcus Chong, began his career as a child actor in Roots: The Next Generations (1979), and later starred in Little House on the Prairie (1974), American Heart (1992), and The Matrix (1999). His daughter, Rae Dawn Chong, is a Genie award-winning actress, most known for her roles in Quest for Fire (1981), The Color Purple (1985), and Tales from the Darkside: The Movie (1990). His other daughter, Precious Chong, has appeared in the films Pearl Harbor (2001), L.A. Confidential (1997), and Playing It Cool (2014). Finally, Robbi Chong, born in 1965, is best known for her roles in Poltergeist: The Legacy (1996), Ellie Parker (2005), and Shelter (2007). The Chong family have made a lasting impression on the film and television world, and their legacy is sure to continue for generations to come.
