Biography

The illustrious Lady Glenn Close, born and raised in the prestigious Greenwich, Connecticut, is the daughter of two prominent upper-class families. Her illustrious career has seen her grace the Broadway stage as well as the silver screen as an eight time Academy Award Nominated actress. Her breakthrough in film came with her portrayal of Jenny Fields in The World According to Garp (1982) for which she was nominated for Best Supporting Actress. Subsequent roles in The Big Chill (1983) and The Natural (1984) earned her two more Oscar nominations for Supporting Actress. Her star power and talent has long been celebrated and will no doubt continue to captivate audiences for years to come.
