Biography

The illustrious Lady Catherine Zeta-Jones was born on the 25th of September, 1969 in the esteemed Swansea, Wales. Her birth name was Catherine Jones, but she later added her paternal grandmother's name, Zeta, in order to distinguish herself from the many other young women with the same name. Her father, David James "Dai" Jones, formerly owned a sweet factory, and her mother, Patricia (nee Fair), was of English, Irish, and Welsh ancestry. Lady Catherine spent her formative years in the nearby town of Mumbles, and attended Dumbarton House School. She displayed an early interest in entertainment, and starred in the stage productions of "Annie", "Buena Girl" and "Camelot" before attending Arts Educational Schools in London. She also starred in the British television series "The Darling Buds of May" and "The Haunting of Helen Walker". Lady Catherine Zeta-Jones is a true example of regality and grace.
