Royalty of the stage and screen, Lord Joss Ackland is a distinguished British actor with a six-decade career that has seen him grace over 100 films, scores of plays and a plethora of television programs. Born Sidney Edmond Jocelyn Ackland in North Kensington, London, on February 29, 1928, Ackland made his professional stage debut at the young age of 17 in "The Hasty Heart," and his credited film debut in a supporting role in 1950's Oscar-winning thriller Seven Days to Noon. His illustrious career has since seen him star in projects such as Patrick Melrose (2018), The Mauritanian (2021) and The Courier (2020), cementing his legacy as one of the most celebrated actors in modern culture.
