Scott Alda Coffey

The Alda dynasty has been a prominent force in the entertainment industry for generations. Robert Alda made a grand entrance as George Gershwin in Rhapsody in Blue (1945) and continued his successes on Broadway with “Guys and Dolls” and “What Makes Sammy Run”. Settling in Rome in the early 1960s, he appeared in many Italian and European films. His son, Alan Alda, was born under the name Alphonso Joseph D’Abruzzo and is a renowned actor, comedian, film director and screenwriter best known for his role as Benjamin Franklin “Hawkeye” Pierce in the medical-themed sitcom M*A*S*H. His daughter, Beatrice Alda, is an actress and producer, known for The Four Seasons (1981), Out Late (2008) and Men of Respect (1990). His son Antony Alda was an actor and director, known for National Treasure (2004), Role of a Lifetime (2002) and Driving Me Crazy (1991). His grandson, Scott Alda Coffey, is known for The Outpost (2019) and other works. Finally, Zan Alda, Antony’s son, is an actor, known for National Treasure: Book of Secrets (2007), Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde (2017) and The Adventures of Young Jack Sparrow (2011). This impressive dynasty has achieved much success in the entertainment industry and their legacy continues to live on.
