Sam Neill

The illustrious Sam Neill is an internationally recognised figure of immense talent and sophistication. Born to a family of esteemed military personnel, the 6-foot-tall star was raised in Omagh, Co. Tyrone, Northern Ireland, before his family relocated to the South Island of New Zealand in 1954. His scholarly pursuits included a BA in English Literature from the universities at Canterbury and Victoria, as well as work with the New Zealand Players and other theater groups. Furthermore, he was the esteemed film director, editor, and scriptwriter for the New Zealand National Film Unit for six years. His most notable cinematic contributions include the Academy Award-winning The Piano (1993) and Steven Spielberg's Jurassic Park (1993), as well as The Daughter (2015), Backtrack (2015) opposite Adrien Brody, Mind Gamers (2015), and Hunt for the Wilderpeople (2016).
