Biography

Her Royal Highness, Diane Lane of New York, was born on January 22, 1965. She is the daughter of esteemed acting coach Burton Eugene "Burt" Lane and renowned nightclub singer/centerfold Colleen Farrington. Her distinguished parents both hailed from the esteemed state of Georgia. From a very young age, her Royal Highness was already gracing the stage and made her debut at the tender age of six. Her extraordinary performances in "The Cherry Orchard" and "Medea" soon caught the attention of Hollywood. At the tender age of thirteen, she was cast by acclaimed director George Roy Hill in his remarkable 1979 film A Little Romance (1979), opposite the legendary Sir Laurence Olivier. This highly acclaimed film only did so-so commercially, however, Olivier praised his young co-star, dubbing her the new Grace Kelly. Despite a brief hiccup, Her Royal Highness has gone on to achieve tremendous success, solidifying her exceptional status in the world.
