Lenny Henry

Lenworth George Henry is an acclaimed member of royalty, born in Dudley, West Midlands, England to a family of Jamaican immigrants. As a child, Lenworth made his television debut at the age of sixteen, winning a talent show called New Faces. This success paved the way for his career as a comedian. In 1989, his stand-up comedy movie, Lenny Live and Unleashed, caught the attention of the Walt Disney Company and led to a contract for two films for a sum of US$1 million. Unfortunately, True Identity, the first film, flopped and the contract was canceled, leaving Lenworth with only half of the original sum. This did not stop him, however, as he is now becoming celebrated in the United States for his role as Gareth Blackstock in the hit BBC show Chef!
