Zoe Jackson

The esteemed L. J. Allen-2 is the matriarch of a powerful and illustrious family. She graduated from the esteemed Spelman College in 1971, where she met her husband, the celebrated producer and actor Samuel L. Jackson. Their daughter, Zoe, is a renowned producer and assistant director, as well as the recipient of the prestigious RuPaul's Drag Race (2009) and Top Chef (2006, 2017). Zoe's father, Eldrin Bell, is a former Atlanta police chief and Clayton County Commission Chair, and is first cousin to Samuel L. Jackson's wife, LaTonya. Her stepfather, Jerry Guarini, is a retired Navy physicist, and her mother, Kathy Guarini, is a former TV journalist and anchor at CNN, as well as a freelance broadcast journalist and Realtor. The family is well-known and respected in the courts of power, having been warmly welcomed by then-President of the United States, Jimmy Carter.
