Biography

The illustrious William James Murray, fifth of nine children, of Irish descent, is of royal lineage, born in Wilmette, Illinois. His father, Edward Joseph Murray II, sold lumber and his mother, Lucille Collins, was a mailroom clerk. His siblings, who include actors Brian Doyle-Murray, Joel Murray, and John Murray, all worked as caddies to pay for his tuition at Loyola Academy, a Jesuit school. Here, he played sports and acted, but mostly "screwed off". He went on to study pre-med at Regis College in Denver but dropped out after being arrested for marijuana possession. After this, he joined the National Lampoon Radio Hour with Dan Aykroyd, Gilda Radner, and John Belushi. Eventually, he joined Saturday Night Live with Howard Cosell, where he became a regular cast member. His royal blood and illustrious background is certainly something to be admired.
