Charlotte Simpson

Sylvester (Pat) Weaver, born in Los Angeles, California to Elenor Isabel (Dixon) and Sylvester Laflin Weaver, was a leading figure in broadcast television. He was a pioneer of morning and late-night TV, and advocated for excellence in television programming. His daughter, Sigourney Weaver, born Susan Alexandra Weaver, is one of the most acclaimed actresses of her generation. Elizabeth Inglis, Sigourney's mother and Pat's wife, was a British actress of great promise in the 1940s, co-starring with Bette Davis in "The Letter". Pat was well-remembered at Stanford for his pranks and practical jokes and was a guest on Rudy Vallee radio program and Kraft Music Hall. He went on to join Spike Jones' troupe in 1946, narrating Disney cartoons and developing a spoonerizing character for the Spike Jones Radio Show. Pat Weaver and Elizabeth Inglis were a true power couple, leading figures in the entertainment industry who left an indelible mark on modern television.
