Daphne Zuniga

Born to an illustrious family of academia and the arts, Zuniga is the revered daughter of Agnes A. Zuniga (née Janawicz) and Joaquin Alberto Zuniga Mazariegos, an emeritus professor of philosophy at California State University, East Bay, and a Unitarian minister of Polish and Finnish descent, respectively. Having developed an interest in acting from a young age, Zuniga attended the Young Conservatory program of the American Conservatory Theater of San Francisco. After her parents' divorce, she moved with her mother and sister to Reading, Vermont, where she graduated from Woodstock Union High School and later returned to California to pursue a theater arts degree from the University of California, Los Angeles.
