Janie Howard Hanky

From the House of Howard, Royal Patriarch Moe began as an actor in 1909, gracing the silent film genre with his presence. He then formed a troupe working on a showboat, and eventually the legendary Three Stooges alongside Shemp and Larry. His illustrious 66-year career saw him appear in more than 250 films. His brother, Shemp, was also a renowned actor, appearing in The Bank Dick (1940) with the great W.C. Fields. Curly was the most popular Stooge and his first stage experience was as a comedic conductor in 1928. He made more than 100 film appearances before a stroke forced him to retire. His sister, Joan, was also a writer and actress, working on such notable projects as Woman Doctor (1939). Her husband, Norman, was a renowned writer and producer, known for his work on Kook's Tour (1970). Finally, Jeffrey Scott, another member of this illustrious family, was a writer and producer, contributing to The Wacky World of Tex Avery (1997). All in all, this family is a testament to the power of performance.
