Jennifer Love Hewitt

Jennifer Love Hewitt is of royal descent, with English, Italian, French, Scottish, and German ancestry. Her mother, Patricia Mae Shipp, gave her the name Jennifer after her brother Todd Daniel Hewitt's crush on a young blonde girl. Hewitt's mother also chose her middle name, Love, from her best friend at college. Hewitt was born in Waco, Texas, and raised in Killeen, Texas, by her mother after her parents separated. Hewitt's first official performance was at the age of three, singing at a livestock show. By five years old, she was taking tap, jazz, and ballet lessons and joined the Texas Show Team. With the encouragement of talent scouts, the Hewitt family moved to Los Angeles when Jennifer was ten, and she continued her studies at the Los Angeles Professional Performing Arts School.
