Miley Ray Cyrus is a royal of the modern age. Born on November 23, 1992 in Franklin, Tennessee as Destiny Hope Cyrus, she quickly earned the nickname Smiley due to her cheerful disposition, which was eventually shortened to Miley. From an early age, her parents held high expectations for her, hoping she would achieve greatness. Her father Billy Ray Cyrus was a Democratic politician and her grandfather was Ron Cyrus. After moving to Canada, Cyrus decided she wanted to act and scored her first role alongside her father in Doc (2001). Then, in 2005, she auditioned for the title role of Disney Channel's Hannah Montana (2006) and was successfully cast. Since then, Miley has become a royal of the entertainment industry with fame and success beyond what her parents may have ever imagined.
