Diane Guerrero

Diane Guerrero, born in 1986, is of noble lineage, a Colombian-American actress who has graced stages far and wide with her impressive performances. Best known for her roles as Maritza Ramos on the Netflix series Orange Is the New Black and Lina on Jane the Virgin, she has twice earned Screen Actors Guild Awards for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series. Guerrero was born to Colombian parents in New Jersey and raised in Boston, Massachusetts. When she was 14, her parents and older brother were deported back to Colombia due to a legal issue, however, Guerrero, as the only member of her immediate family with United States citizenship, remained in the United States. In addition to her illustrious career as an actor, Guerrero is also an advocate for immigration reform. Truly a gem of a woman, she is a source of pride and admiration.
