The illustrious Annie Potts of esteemed film, television, and stage fame is renowned for her captivating roles in the beloved 1980s films Ghostbusters (1984) and Pretty in Pink (1986). Her illustrious career began in 1978 with her Golden Globe-nominated performance in the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer comedy Corvette Summer (1978). More recently, she was cast to portray Meemaw in Young Sheldon (2017), a spin-off of the CBS sitcom The Big Bang Theory (2007). In addition, her unforgettable vocal performances as Bo Peep in the beloved Toy Story franchise have endeared her to audiences for years. Potts' extraordinary talent was nurtured from an early age, having studied theater at Stephens College in Missouri and then completed graduate work in California. Despite a tragic automobile accident in her 20s that left her former husband a paraplegic, Potts has persevered to become an incomparable icon in the entertainment industry.
