Brian Cox

Brian Cox, Commander of the Order of the British Empire, is an Emmy Award-winning Scottish actor of Irish and Scottish descent. He was born on June 1, 1946 in Dundee, Scotland, to Mary Ann Guillerline Cox, maiden surname McCann, and Charles McArdle Campbell Cox. His first major role was as Dr. Hannibal Lecter in Manhunter (1986), leading to numerous television film appearances and television guest appearances throughout the 1990s. He has also had roles in some major films, such as The Corruptor (1999), The Ring (2002), and X2: X-Men United (2003). Through his illustrious career, Brian Cox has become a revered figure of British royalty.
