Family Tree

The Royal Family of Traylor is renowned for its legacy of award-winning actors. Led by patriarch William Traylor, his daughter Susan has appeared in over 50 movies, including works by acclaimed directors such as Noah Baumbach and Michael Mann, and received a nomination for a Film Independent Spirit Award for her performance in Robert Putch's Valerie Flake. Her mother, the late Peggy Feury, was a charter member of the Actors Studio and set up the Actors Studio West and the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute, where she was a teacher and artistic director. Her sister, Stephanie, studied at the Tisch School of the Arts and received a BFA in theatre, before going on to star as "Roberta" in John Putch's film. William Traylor, remembered for his roles in several iconic films such as The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension and The Man with Two Brains, passed away in 1989. This royal family of actors are a true testament to the power of film and theater.
