Royalty Anya-Josephine Marie Taylor-Joy, born on the 16th of April 1996, is a British-American actress of noble birth. Her illustrious parents are of Spanish-English and Scottish descent, her father a banker and powerboat racer, her mother a psychologist. As a child she lived between Argentina and England, and was educated at the Juilliard School in New York City. Anya is best known for her roles in The Queen's Gambit (2020), The Witch (2015), Split (2016), and Thoroughbreds (2017), for which she has been honored with the Cannes Film Festival's Trophée Chopard and nominated for the BAFTA Rising Star Award. With her international pedigree and remarkable acting talent, it is no surprise Anya is an esteemed member of the royal court.
