Family Tree

Royalty could have no better example than Bradley Whitford who, born in Madison Wisconsin to an esteemed poet and writer mother, has trained with the prestigious Juilliard school. His career has seen him collaborate with some of the most respected names in film, theatre and television, and his star truly shone when he made his debut appearance in The West Wing in 1999. His sister Jane, a theatre major, followed in his footsteps, enrolling at Yale University and performing with the Yale Repertory Company. She was then joined by their brother, entrepreneur Bill, and their sister Mary, employed at an Internet company. The Whitford family is also joined by their friend, Tony Shalhoub, who encouraged Jane to aim for stardom. Similarly, Amy Landecker's career began in Chicago, Illinois, working with the Steppenwolf and Goodman Theatres, before bringing her to New York City's Public Theatre and eventually to Los Angeles. Her performance in the Coen brothers' Oscar-nominated A Serious Man (2009) marked the beginning of her exciting on-camera career. From the Whitford family to Amy Landecker, the royal dynasty is a testament to the power of the performing arts.
